FROM THE ANCIENT HIGHLANDS OF YIRGACHEFFE TO YOUR CUP

Whats in your cup

  • Cost Per Cup

250g bag (£18.50) — approx. 25 filter cups at £0.74/cup, or 35 espresso shots at £0.53/shot. 1kg bag (£39.00) — approx. 100 filter cups at £0.39/cup, or 142 espresso shots at £0.27/shot. The more you brew, the better the value.

  • Caffeine & Heart Health

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe The Ethereal Highland is a fully caffeinated single-origin coffee, naturally processed in the ancient highlands of Yirgacheffe — one of the world's most extraordinary growing regions. The natural process produces a complex, aromatic cup with vivid floral notes, bright citrus, and a naturally sweet, tea-like finish. Rich in antioxidants and naturally occurring chlorogenic acids. According to theBritish Heart Foundation, moderate coffee consumption can be part of a healthy lifestyle. All the ritual. All the character.

  • Expert Tip

Grind fresh, every time. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe rewards a medium-fine grind — coarser for French Press and cold brew, finer for V60, espresso, and Aeropress. Brew at 90–92°C — never boiling, to protect the delicate florals. Give it a 30-second bloom to release the CO₂. The jasmine, citrus, and berry notes open up beautifully as the cup cools — don't rush it.

  • Origin

Grown in the Yirgacheffe district of southern Ethiopia, at 1,700–2,200m above sea level — the birthplace of coffee itself. Ancient heirloom varieties, rich red soils, and a distinct wet season create the ideal conditions for slow cherry development and extraordinary cup complexity. Naturally processed and sun-dried on raised beds. 100% single-origin Arabica.

  • Storage & Freshness

Keep It Fresh. Keep It Flavourful. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat, and strong odours. Our resealable pouches are designed to lock in freshness — squeeze out excess air after each use and seal tightly. Once opened, best consumed within 6 months for peak flavour. Unopened, the bag stays fresh for up to 24 months. Do not refrigerate — condensation degrades the bean's natural oils and dulls the delicate floral and citrus notes that make Yirgacheffe exceptional. For whole bean, grind only what you need — ground coffee loses its character within days of opening.
