    Grown on the fertile slopes of Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Range, this exceptional Kenyan coffee brings together some of the country’s best-known coffee varieties: SL 28, SL 34, Batian and Ruiru 11.

    The coffee is fully washed and carefully sun-dried for up to 21 days, creating a clean, vibrant cup with plenty of clarity and character.

    French Press
    The metal filter lets through oils and fine particles that cloud Kenya AA's sparkling acidity. Expect a heavier, muddier cup — the bright blackcurrant and vanilla get lost. Not recommended.

    Batch Brew
    The fixed brew cycle flattens Kenya AA's complexity. You'll get a pleasant cup, but the sparkling acidity, dark berry notes and syrupy finish fade into something ordinary. Not recommended.

    Espresso
    Kenya AA's high acidity can tip into sharpness under pressure. Without precise dialling in, the brightness becomes harsh and the delicate fruit notes disappear entirely. Not recommended for most home setups.

    Highly Recommended - Boil fresh filtered water and let it cool to 93°C (about 30–45 seconds off the boil). Weigh 15g of coffee, grind medium-fine — like coarse sand. Rinse your V60 filter with hot water and discard. Add your grounds and create a small well in the centre. Pour 30ml of water to bloom — watch the crust rise and release its gases for 30 seconds. Then pour slowly in steady clockwise spirals, working from the centre outward, reaching 225ml total by 2:30. Let it drain fully. The result: a luminous, tea-like cup bursting with blackcurrant, vanilla, and a long dark chocolate finish. Always black — milk is a crime against this cup.

    Aeropress
    Boil fresh filtered water and cool to 92°C (about 45 seconds off the boil). Weigh 18g of coffee, grind medium-fine — slightly coarser than espresso. Insert a rinsed filter into the cap and lock onto the chamber. Add your grounds, place on a sturdy mug. Pour 216ml of water in one steady pour, filling to the top. Stir gently for 10 seconds. Place the plunger on top to create a seal — do not press yet. Steep for 2 minutes. Then press slowly and steadily over 30 seconds. Stop when you hear a hiss. Dark berry, bittersweet chocolate, velvet body. Black is best — one drop of raw honey if you must.

    Cold Press
    Kenya AA was born for the V60. The pour-over process unlocks every layer of this coffee's sparkling acidity, blackcurrant brightness, and wine-like complexity — qualities that define one of the world's most celebrated origins. Use a medium-fine grind, 93–95°C water, and a 1:15 ratio. Pour in slow, controlled circles and let the bloom breathe for 30 seconds. What follows is extraordinary — blackcurrant, vanilla, and a citrus-edged finish that lingers. Also exceptional through a Chemex or Aeropress for those who prefer more body. A note on Cold Brew: we don't recommend it for Kenya AA. Cold brew suppresses acidity and mutes the floral and fruit notes that make this origin exceptional. This coffee deserves heat.
