From the southwestern highlands of the Oromia region, grown at 1,600 MASL beneath a high-altitude forest shade canopy. This exceptional lot is a curated blend of hand-selected heirloom beans sourced from six premier regional farms. Mineral-rich volcanic soils and cool mountain nights slow cherry maturation, concentrating complex organic compounds within native Eastern African Heirloom Arabica varietals — producing exceptionally dense beans packed with natural sugars.

Expert Tip

Expert Brewing Tip: Opt for a Filter or Pour-Over Method
To fully unlock the vibrant fruitiness and delicate, wine-like undertones of this high-altitude heirloom crop, brew it using a V60 Pour-Over, Chemex, or standard drip filter system. While an espresso extraction highlights deep sweetness, a paper filter method cleanly separates the oils, allowing the crisp citrus acidity, wild fruit notes, and sweet pear aromas characteristic of the Limu region to truly shine through without any heavy bitterness.

For the ultimate extraction, recommend that your customers use water heated to 92°C–94°C and a medium-fine grind setting.

Caffeine & Your Heart

Based on official clinical evidence compiled by the British Heart Foundation, moderate daily caffeine consumption of four to five cups of coffee should be completely safe for the vast majority of healthy adults and does not negatively influence your long-term risk of developing coronary heart disease. According to the British Heart Foundation Nutrition Insights, while caffeine can cause a transient, temporary increase in blood pressure, this effect usually minimizes over time with regular consumption.

However, individuals vary widely in their tolerance; sensitive individuals may experience acute side effects such as anxiety, jitteriness, or heart palpitations. Furthermore, specific medical subsets—such as individuals diagnosed with underlying arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation or severe hypertension—should consult their specialists, as high stimulant intake can occasionally exacerbate abnormal heart rhythms

Origin

The coffee listed in your store dashboard originates from Limu, a renowned specialty coffee zone located within the Oromia Region of southwestern Ethiopia. As a single-origin offering, it consists of native Eastern African Heirloom varieties cultivated by local smallholder farmers at high volcanic altitudes ranging between 1,500 and 2,100 metres above sea level.

This specific terroir gives Limu coffee its signature clean cup profile, characterized by a medium body, crisp wine-like acidity, and complex tasting notes of bright fruits, sweet pear, and subtle spicy or chocolate undertones.

Storage & Freshness

o maintain the maximum freshness and preserve the vibrant, fruit-forward tasting notes of your premium Ethiopia Limu coffee, store it in an opaque, airtight container kept in a cool, dark pantry away from heat, light, and moisture. Never store coffee in the refrigerator or freezer, as the resulting temperature shifts create destructive condensation that instantly destroys the beans' delicate aromatic oils.

For the ultimate flavor profile, advise your customers to use whole beans within two to six weeks of the roast date, while pre-ground coffee variants should ideally be brewed within two weeks of opening to minimize flavor flatting caused by oxidation.

Cost Per Cup

At a standard specialty brewing ratio of 15 grams per mug, your 250g bag yields approximately 16 cups at a customer cost of £0.87 per cup, while your bulk 1KG bag yields roughly 66 cups, dropping the customer cost to just £0.54 per cup [1]. You can use this exact math on your Shopify landing page to overcome price objections, showing premium shoppers they can enjoy barista-grade Ethiopia Limu coffee at home for a fraction of the £3.50+ price tag of high-street coffee chains.
