Expert Tip

Don't over-steep. Chamomile is delicate — steeping beyond 5 minutes can introduce a slightly bitter, hay-like note that masks the natural honey sweetness. 4 minutes at 95°C is the sweet spot.

For maximum relaxation benefit, drink your Solar Bloom 30–45 minutes before bed. Chamomile's active compound, apigenin, binds to GABA receptors in the brain — the same receptors targeted by anti-anxiety medication — promoting natural calm and sleep onset without dependency.

Add a small drizzle of raw honey to amplify the natural sweetness and add a prebiotic boost to your evening ritual.

Calm & Wellbeing

Chamomile is one of the most extensively studied medicinal herbs in the world. Solar Bloom is naturally caffeine-free — making it the perfect choice for evenings, for those sensitive to caffeine, or for anyone seeking a moment of genuine calm at any time of day.

The primary active compound, apigenin, is a natural flavonoid with well-documented anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) and mild sedative properties. Regular consumption has been associated with reduced symptoms of generalised anxiety disorder in peer-reviewed clinical trials.

Chamomile is also rich in antioxidants including quercetin and patuletin, which support immune function and reduce systemic inflammation. A cup of Solar Bloom isn't just a ritual — it's a genuinely restorative act.

Origin

Egypt — The Nile Delta. Egyptian chamomile is universally regarded as the finest in the world. Grown in the fertile alluvial plains of the Nile Delta, where long, sun-drenched days and mineral-rich soil produce blossoms of exceptional size, sweetness, and aromatic intensity.

The variety grown here — Matricaria chamomilla — produces a naturally higher concentration of bisabolol and chamazulene, the compounds responsible for chamomile's characteristic apple-honey aroma and its potent anti-inflammatory properties.

Solar Bloom uses only whole dried chamomile blossoms — never dust, never fannings, never blended with filler herbs. What you receive is exactly what was harvested: pure, single-origin chamomile at its finest.

Storage & Freshness

Dried chamomile blossoms are delicate. Their aromatic compounds — bisabolol, chamazulene, and the natural essential oils that give Solar Bloom its honey-apple character — are volatile and will degrade with exposure to light, heat, and humidity.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and strong kitchen aromas. Our resealable airtight pouches are designed to lock out oxygen and preserve the integrity of every blossom.

Enjoy within 6 months of opening for peak aroma and flavour. Unopened, Solar Bloom remains at its best for up to 24 months from production.

For the purist: transfer to a dark ceramic or tin caddy at room temperature. Never refrigerate — condensation damages dried botanicals.
